Teresa Paola Valle Larrea / University of Cyprus

The poetic-musical folklore and original songs are invaluable sources of how to get to know and learn the identity of people, e.g. the Chilean people in an ELE class. Its content reflects the wealth and indigenous symbols, as well as the Chilean idiosyncrasy. The issues raised in the songs "Si vas para Chile" and "Chile Lindo" remain the same, even though 70 years have passed since its composition, that makes us ponder upon the moral values, such as tolerance, generosity, and hospitality in the world today.
