ABSTRACT
Becoming aware of the learning styles present in a foreign language classroom (and its different dimensions: sensorial, cognitive, executive, temperament-affective and social) allows both the teacher and the students to understand several aspects: how the information is processed, what kind of learning task is preferred, how the students react to it, how the tasks are resolved, and what kind of social skills group takes part in the classroom and how the development and the improvement of learning strategies could be implemented. This information is valuable to the teacher in order to optimize his/her pedagogy. It is also crucial for the students who have the goal of developing his/her autonomy as a language learner. In our job as a teachers Spanish as a foreign language we do not have so much motivational, dynamic or interactional tools which allow us to be aware of learning styles (such as “surveys”). Having taken this into account I will present an activity for gathering that information from the students in order to work with it (and them) in a interactional and a dynamic way.
KEY WORDS
Learning Styles, development of autonomy, learn to learn.
